Commercial property in Livingston
Just outside Edinburgh in the Almond Valley, you’ll find Livingston – the largest town in West Lothian. It was originally built to alleviate pressure on major cities caused by overcrowding, and it is now one of the largest towns in the whole of Scotland with a population of over 56,000.
It’s thanks to high-tech industries and a huge retail offering that Livingston has flourished since it was initially established in the early 1960s. There are three shopping centres in the town, which have all been redeveloped to offer a rich experience.
With Edinburgh just 16 miles away and Glasgow within 33 miles, Livingston is well connected. There are fast trains into Edinburgh city centre that take just 20 minutes. You can reach Edinburgh Airport in just 15 minutes by car, while Glasgow Airport is only a 45-minute drive away. As a relatively new town, Livingston’s centre is designed to accommodate pedestrians and cyclists with an excellent core path network.
A number of businesses have taken advantage of the town’s enviable location and established operations here. Notably, Sky UK has a key base in Livingston.
