Gavin Black was a founding partner of Swaisland Black & Partners in 1973, and Naylors Gavin Black in 1979 before merging with Chesterton in 1987, becoming Managing Director of Chesterton’s Commercial Division and Chesterton’s Deputy Chairman from 1992 – 2003. Naylor Gavin Black was re-established in October 2003. Gavin was Chairman of Northumbria University from 1996 to 2009. He is currently Deputy Chairman of NE1 Limited, the Business Improvement District Company for Newcastle City Centre, Chairman of the Central Station Gateway Project dealing with regeneration in and around the Station, and Chair of the Heart of the City Partnership. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees at Charlotte Straker Hospital. Gavin’s skills include strategic property advice, development advice including funding, acquisition, and disposal of commercial property investments, and consultancy advice in all aspects of commercial property.


Chris Pearson, Partner
Qualified MBA with over 30 years experience providing property advice to public and private sector organizations with particular emphasis on the acquisition, sale and letting of commercial property. Chris is currently Chairman of the RICS North East Regional Board.


Chris Donabie, Partner - Agency & Investment
Chris joined Naylors in 2016 covering occupational and investment agency, primarily in the Industrial & Logistics sector. This role involves advising on acquisition or disposal strategy, development consultancy, joint ventures, funding and investment. Clients include funds, developers, property companies, public sector bodies, high net worth individuals and occupiers.
