In 2016, Glasgow Fort opened a new car park with 600 additional spaces and a leisure quarter with four new restaurants. The building is naturally ventilated with a sustainable wooden slated rear façade, and a green 'living' canopy overhangs the restaurant units. It is themed around a wild forest with sculptural landscaping acting as a natural buffer between the car park and outdoor dining areas and incorporating natural play elements for children.

The flexibility of Glasgow Fort's design allows for a greater range of unit sizes, reflecting the needs of today's occupiers. Glasgow Fort is ranked as the top centre in its category in Scotland by CACI. It has a catchment of over 2 million people and an annual footfall of 14 million.
